Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Enhancing digital teaching

bologna.lab – New Teaching. New Learning

The bologna.lab is a central initiative by Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU) which aims to open up spaces and develop opportunities for innovative teaching and learning formats. The projects of the bologna.lab were funded from 2012 until 2021 by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the Quality Pact for Teaching.

The bologna.lab was a cross-faculty teaching and learning laboratory with four main focus points: opportunities for research-based learning, interdisciplinarity, flexibilisation and internationalisation of the curriculum. It aims to promote student-led, independent learning. The bologna.lab was home to seven projects aimed at developing innovative teaching and learning formats and monitoring their implementation and progress. It offered students and teaching staff alike a wide range of opportunities to get involved.

The bologna.lab has been funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the framework of the Quality Pact for Teaching (german) from 2012 until 2021. It was part of the HU’s successful bid ‘Übergänge’ (Transitions) (FKZ: 01PL11030).
